Hi all
I decided to switch over to Blogger, mostly due to the ease of uploading photos to the web via Google+.
On this occasion I also renamed the blog: Zoom Therapy

I keep wondering why they bother to have effects like this in cameras and photography apps for iphone/ipad that do effects to pictures too. Not professional and they can be done easily in photo editing programs – that have been around since the beginning of time.

Because consumers are stupid and I can’t imagine most soccer mums having photoshop installed and the time to use it when she could easily do it in camera which would be good enoug for her. I’m not sure who’s more stupid, the dumber consumers or you who find it difficult to comprehend this concept…

Does this update fix the problem that the viewfinder goes dark when shooting in manual mode wanting to adjust for external flash?
Jun 20, 2011 @ 15:12:01
It doesn’t fix any problems at all.
The viewfinder is still unuseble in studio.

It’s a pity you can only use the effects in Scene mode. Also, Sony didn’t fix the lame .3/.7 bracketing and the option to turn noise reduction completely off. Pathetic update.

I use wireless flash all the time and before this upgrade it did not function properly in HSS. There’s nothing pathetic about that nor the D-Range button customization that increases the usability of this camera. If you’re a pro you always shoot raw/ raw+ all the time so why wine about noise?

Really don’t understand the need to introduce effects in a firmware. it would be good to allow users to select wanted upgrades. Just downloaded v.4 in order to take advantage of the focus peak.

“At Sony, the voices of our customers are extremely important and they are therefore managed with care; professionally and seriously. We hope to further enhance and improve our services to our valued customers from the feedback/comments gathered.”
i’m wondering regards earlier have mentioned about the very useful and interesting peaking feature, will Sony really consider and put this in into our A55V camera in future?
